Hi fellow member of the internet!
I'm writing today as a very happy boy. Yesterday I was reunited with my girlfriend after being apart for 3 weeks on christmas holidays from University. That time that we spent apart though weirdly brought us closer together I think. The fact that we talked so much everyday and skyped when we could despite being over an hour drive away from each other shows how much a person cares and there are so many times I felt immeasurably touched by her sincerity and kindness and I still do.
She arrived yesterday to a cold train station a few minutes late and I was running around trying to find change for the parking meter at the train station because I couldn't for the life of me find the 20 minute spaces that you can use for free. Eventually after realising I was £1.10 short of the amount that I needed to get a ticket from the parking machine, I sprinted over to a taxi that I saw near by and almost begged the attending driver to change a note so I could actually pay for the machine. I was in luck as he got out his fancy coin sorted and filtered me £5 change in coins and a £5 note to my delight. Realising I was barely on the minutes I proceeded to sprint back to my car and then to the platform in order to wait for her imminent arrival.
This is it, I thought, the moment you've been waiting for for the last 3 weeks. You've done it old chap. As if the world was to specifically want to provide me with a minor inconvenience, she arrived but on the other side of the platform! I swear, only I would be in that scenario...
Eventually she came down the stairs to the side I was on and eventually her smile came into view. I was hooked. I had a smile plastered onto my face from the moment she had arrived on the other side and it had only gone and gotten bigger. I proceeded to do what I had missed more than anything over the christmas holiday and say hello to her accompanied with a hug and kiss. My life feels complete again and suddenly the wilderness doesn't seem as wild as I'd originally thought.
So what's up now you might ask? Well I'm currently back in my halls room, I've gone through my morning ritual and am just hammering away before I get set on some awful revision. I've got an exam tomorrow on the topic of "Psychology as a Science". Or as I like to call it, "3 essays in 90 minutes to make your fingers fall off."
You might have an idea that I'm not looking forward to it.
You'd be right.
Other than that today, I'm making lunch for me and my girlfriend at around 12:30 and revising. I might have a hockey training later but I'm not too sure. Nevertheless, it's gradually getting back to the daily grind and I hope I can bring you along for the ride.

Back out into the wilderness
Good afternoon!
I am currently writing this having completed a gruelling 2 hour long car journey in order to get back to University with a friend. I don't know why but I've been feeling a little lack of focus today, I made a few driving errors which were slightly frightening but it worked out in the end. I think I'll be having the sat nav turned up a bit more in the future! I'm writing to you from my desk in my halls room which is surprisingly in a relatively good state. Things are looking well and I've unpacked and managed to complete even the hardest task that a modern day teenage boy might face.

I'm sure a lot do it but growing up I was particularly lazy and didn't do as much as I should have around the house, in hein sight maybe that wasn't the best plan for aiding my long term future but hey-ho. We have to deal with what we have.
The journey to University, despite being a perilous one was one that I really enjoyed. Along with my college friend we travelled and listening to many a cheesy song from "Let it go" (I personally think I sang beautifully) to "Livin' la Vida Loca" the journey passed in no time. The windy conditions of North England didn't really help my nerves at motorway speeds, especially in more exposed areas like bridges but oh well. I'm alive and still blogging.
Later I've got plans to meet my special girl at the train station when she arrives at around 18:15, which I've been looking forward to all holiday. I might not blog again today after that because of wanting to spend time with her but I'll no doubt be back again tomorrow.
I have to say, at our university, the shops are varying distances away, with the farthest away not really being suitable to walk. Annoyingly, this is also the cheapest of the 3 main supermarkets here and I had no idea where it was until today when I was paying attention. The joys of Tesco shopping were immense as it felt weird to be in a supermarket with so much stock! I felt like I was walking through Costco XL (If the hypothetical concept did exist).
But overall, it has been another milestone in my university life completed, returning for the second semester of life here and I am looking forward to sharing it with you.

The last evening before returning to University life
Nice to see you!
It's coming to the end of my last day at home before returning to University for the next semester and I have to say, although I'm really looking forward to going back and meeting up with everyone there, ready for new adventures, I'm going to miss being with my family.
I feel that's a really boring and standard thing to say but I'm sure it's very relatable at least, 2014 was a year to not forget and going back to business in 2015, studying to get my degree (yeah I know first year doesn't count but still) feels in some ways like a bit of a flash back to reality and in some ways it's really exciting.
As I write this I can hear my parents watching the TV with it notoriously on loud enough to make me feel like the house is vibrating! (It isn't, I just couldn't come up with a very good analogy for it) Meanwhile I'm relaxing listening to some of my favourite musical, "Parade". After spending the early afternoon packing my bags and preparing myself for the journey tomorrow, I decided I'd have a nice unwind and relax and have spent the time chilling out and having a rather nice time doing so.
Tomorrow I'm going to be picking up a college friend from her house around midday and we're going to go for a quick provisions shop before venturing onwards into the unknown, towards an enhanced education, towards... I'd imagine a rather large amount of alcohol actually! (Shhh don't tell my parents!) It's a 2 hour-ish road trip so no doubt there will be lots of funny moments that I can fill you in on!
I've got quite a few interesting things lined up at University that I can't wait to tell you about when they happen, such as hockey games for the team, I'm going to be in Fiddler on the Roof in March with the musical theatre society and I'm going to watch quite a lot of films with a very special girl to me which I can tell you about as there is a truly rather large variety of them! I also take quite a lot of pictures and edit them in my spare time so I should be posting them or creating an Instagram account to post them to so I can show you what a beautiful part of the world it is!
No doubt though there will be boring days so I might fill them in with a few stories, like from an adventure I had in Central Asia for a month over the Summer to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan which I hope you will find interesting, of course accompanied with rather amateur photos of the spectacular surroundings.
As I'm leaving the comfort of home again I have to say that I'm scared, unsure of what lies ahead, but I know that it's going to be something great.

Catch-up on a trip to watch "Into The Woods" 9/1/15
Oh hello there!
I thought that since I went and did something that I thought was pretty cool with my parents yesterday, I'd quite like to share it with you all.
Yesterday marked the release of a film called "Into The Woods". Which I hadn't realised was actually a musical that was on Broadway in 2005 and apparently on the West End as well more recently. I experienced one of the benefits of having quite limited time left before returning to University, that I get more of a say on what is had for dinner! So how could I go for anything other than a Dominoes Pizza delivery? It turns out that this was actually a wise option, since there was a deal on that we could get two pizzas, garlic bread and potato wedges for something like £20! I could have never thought that as a poor student I would fail to eat a large pizza from Dominoes, but alas, I was defeated by the meaty, cheesey, pizza-y goodness. Don't judge me too hard please, "The Meateor" is an incredibly filly and wedge pizza on all accounts!
But after we were all well and truly stuffed, we got into the car to set off to the Odeon theatre near to us to see the film. It was really exciting to be able to see a film on its release date, I think that I've only seen one before on its release date a few years back.
I wasn't sure what to make of Into The Woods in the end. Personally I think that it's really entertaining in most places but seemed to drag a bit. One thing I did notice is that if you've watched Sweeney Todd on film, or listened to it in general, the backing music sounds really similar to each other in how the instruments are used (That's my bit of a smarty pants statement for the day I think!) It seemed to be a bit long but two songs really stood out to me, "Hello, Little Girl" sung by Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf which genuinely had a chance of giving me nightmares he was so creepy in it, but so creepy he was amazing as you'd expect with him. Another quickly became one of my favourite songs, "Agony" which is sung by two princes comparing their plights with each other to show who is going through the most hardship. It is so typical musical theatre and is portrayed amazingly if I do say so myself.
I think that the film being more directed towards a slightly younger audience means that it might be less interesting for us that are slightly older but it's still worth watching for sure.
After that it was nice to be able to relax for the rest of the night keeping up on YouTube and playing a little Xbox before getting to bed.
It's amazing to think that the christmas break is over and that it's almost time for work and exams again, it goes by way too fa

Friendly introductions
I'm not entirely sure of the best way to put myself out there in the big wide world around us. At the time of writing, I've got the rest of the day left for my Christmas break before I waddle back to university, having inhaled roughly twice my body weight in Christmas dinners and chocolate, ready to face an onslaught of exams.
I think that the best place to start would be a friendly introduction so here goes...
Hi, my name is Tim, I'm from England and I'm just starting my very first of hopefully many a blog. It would be nice to get to know you a bit better and I hope you get to know me as well. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences of the world through this medium and hoping that you will find them as interesting as I do.
I enjoy a lot of music of many different varieties and love finding out about new music in the world, I'm currently really into musicals because it's a big part of my life but I'll listen to pretty much anything.
Obviously, because I'm a standard male, I'm also into my video games as you'd expect. Not as much as I used to be but I enjoy still passing the time, procrastinating by playing every now and again.
Starting life in University allowed me to refresh my enjoyment of field hockey and squash, I'm currently playing for my University's hockey team and play squash with a good friend at the weekends.
